Rules of Participation

PARTICIPATION RULES

Please read the following points carefully:

• The Mountain Rally is not a sporting or competitive event.

• The Mountain Rally is open to all types of motorcycles, although the main focus of the event is on classic and neo-retro bikes.

• It is the responsibility of each registered participant to ensure that all documentation — both for the motorcycle and the rider — is valid and up to date, allowing legal circulation on public roads. The organization and its collaborators are not responsible for any accidents or damages that may occur or be caused by participants during the event.

• To take part, it is mandatory to be registered for the event and to have paid the registration fee.

• The checkpoint locations will be indicated at the start of the route.

• On Saturday morning, the organization will hold a briefing session, where participants will receive all necessary information about the route and can ask questions or request clarifications.

• The meeting will take place at the scheduled time, and the organization will inform participants by email of the exact location of the briefing.

• During the route, participants are solely responsible for complying with all current traffic laws and regulations applicable to the roads they travel on. The event is purely recreational and non-competitive.

• All participants must carry a mobile phone with the number they provided on the registration form. If for any reason they are unable to finish the route or reach the next checkpoint, they must notify the organization as soon as possible by call or message to one of the contact numbers provided.

• To be considered as having completed the route, participants must stamp their Rally Book at each of the official checkpoints, in the order specified by the organization, and present it at the final control point. This will allow them to receive a certificate of participation based on the checkpoints completed.

• Any participant who allows the inclusion of unauthorized persons or motorcycles, or distributes event materials (such as rider numbers, passports, meal tickets, etc.), will be expelled from the event. Expulsion means the withdrawal of the rider number and Rally Book, and therefore the loss of certification and participant privileges, including meal tickets, promotional items, discounts, and more. The expelled participant will not be entitled to a refund and may be banned from future editions.

• Checkpoints are generally located at visible points along the route and randomly distributed. Organization staff will be present at each checkpoint. Missing one or more checkpoints may result in no certificate being issued. All checkpoints will have specific opening and closing times; since this is not a competition, if you arrive late, you will be informed of the next available checkpoint.

• The organization reserves the right to remove any participant from the event if they believe that the rider’s physical or technical condition is impaired by fatigue, lack of proper equipment, or if the rider is otherwise unfit to continue.

• Failure to carry or use the required equipment, or not following the instructions of the event staff, will result in disqualification, as will refusing to help another participant in need, requesting assistance unnecessarily, or showing clear negligence towards the rules or other riders.

• The organization may suspend, shorten, neutralize, or halt the event for safety reasons or due to circumstances beyond its control (weather, roadworks, traffic, surface conditions, delays, incidents, etc.).

• Event suspension: The Mountain Rally organization reserves the right to cancel the event due to force majeure, following the advice of the authorities and/or due to adverse weather conditions. In such cases, the registration fee will not be refunded, and participant expenses will not be covered.

Image Rights and Consent. Images captured during The Mountain Rally, throughout its duration, including event venues, roads, trails, checkpoints, and any other relevant locations, may be photographed or filmed by members of the organization.

Participants give express permission for these photos and videos to be taken and authorize their free use. All images are the property of The Fuel Magazine and Cafe 55 Alternative Life, and only the owners may use or share them for commercial or promotional purposes.

The material may be used for media coverage, social media, promotional campaigns, event materials (posters, publications, advertisements, etc.), and similar uses.

If you do not wish your image to appear, please contact us at: info@themountainrally.com

• The registration fee will be set and published on the website, under the registration and payment section. It includes all the necessary materials for the route: maps, a t-shirt, assigned number sticker, completion certificate, and other gifts provided by the sponsors.

• Submitting the registration form does not guarantee a place until the registration fee has been paid and confirmation has been received from the organization.

• The organization reserves the right of admission for participants.

• The number of registrations is limited, so the organization reserves the right to close registration early, before the initially established deadline.

• Sending the registration form and paying the registration fee constitutes a confirmed reservation, as well as acceptance of the Privacy Policy, Participation Rules, and Legal Notice.

• Cancelled spots will be reassigned by the organization based on the waiting list of reserved places. Under no circumstances may participants transfer their registration directly to others.

• The starting point of the route will be communicated directly to participants via email, and will also be published on the event website, social media, and other official channels.
