Who we are

THE MOUNTAIN RALLY VALENCIA

A Dream on Two Wheels.

The Mountain Rally was born from the shared passion of three friends: Víctor Garrido, Carlos García, and David García. Three motorcycle enthusiasts. Three lovers of good taste, style, and the freedom that only a motorcycle can offer.

This is not just a rally — it’s a celebration of what drives us: the roar of an engine on a quiet mountain road, the wind hitting your helmet, the thrill of every curve, and the joy of riding alongside those who share the same passion.

The Mountain Rally is the result of years of adventures, of conversations about engines and impossible routes, of the pursuit of an authentic, distinctive experience with character. We wanted an event that would bring together those who see motorcycles not just as a means of transport, but as a way of life. An event that blends the aesthetics and spirit of the classic with the adrenaline of adventure.

That’s why we created The Mountain Rally: to ride through breathtaking landscapes, to push limits, but above all, to share what we love most. If you love motorcycles with history, a free spirit, and the open road — this is your place.

See you in the mountains.

David García

Organizer of The Mountain Rally.

Born in Valencia, I have always been a racing enthusiast, having competed in regional karting championships and hosted La Tuerca, a radio show entirely dedicated to motorsports, for several years.

If there’s one thing that has defined my life, it’s having traveled and lived in different places while always maintaining a positive and passionate attitude in everything I do — both personally and professionally.

Buying my first motorcycle, a Triumph Bonneville, in 2013 was undoubtedly a turning point for me. It opened up a world I hadn’t known before. From that moment on, I knew that — just as I had done in the past — I would now focus even more firmly on the things I truly love.

In the latest chapter of this journey, I decided to launch The Fuel Magazine, an Instagram-based lifestyle magazine.

Raquel

Raquel Peña

Coordination.

Originally from Ibi, Alicante, I join a project like The Mountain Rally with great enthusiasm, taking on the role of Checkpoint Coordinator, bringing both my newfound passion for the world of motorcycles and my experience in team management.

My recent interest in motorcycles comes from a passion for adventure and the freedom that two wheels offer — something I hadn’t discovered before. What began as a simple curiosity soon turned into a true passion, leading me to dive into the world of classic and neo-retro motorcycles.

With a background in team coordination and event organization, I now take on the challenge of managing the checkpoints at The Mountain Rally.

I come to The Mountain Rally full of energy and eager to contribute my organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all riders enjoy a well-coordinated event — smooth, seamless, and filled with the adventurous spirit that unites all motorcycle lovers.

Riquelme

Carlos Riquelme

Flag Man.

Born in the city of Turia in 1973 — land of Phoenician landings — adventure runs through our veins. Or maybe we’re just a bit crazy. Perhaps it’s a mix of both.

Since childhood, I remember daydreaming about treasure islands — I even drew my own supposed treasure maps. But my first real encounter with adventure came in the early 80s, when walking with my father through Plaza de la Virgen in Valencia, we came across a German man traveling around the world on a bicycle. That pedal-powered artist was Heinz Stücke — you can actually find a documentary about his more than 51 years cycling around the world on Netflix. That day, I felt the sting of the scorpion — my life’s calling.

Many trips followed — backpacking adventures, and a Grand Vespa Tour from Madrid through Nordkapp, Warsaw, Istanbul, Georgia, Armenia, the Turkish-Syrian border, the Balkans, and, of course, a stop in Monaco before returning to Madrid. You can see some memories from that journey HERE.

There was also a more “bourgeois” trip — Madrid to Odessa on a BMW — and a long-held dream: a Round-the-World journey, which I finally accomplished in 2023. But all of that is just the past; there’s still so much left to discover and enjoy.

And don’t forget to ask yourself: Which is more important — the archer or the arrow?
Your answer will define what kind of traveler you are.

I was born in Valencia and grew up with “vroom-vroom” dreams. Before I could even talk, I was already making engine noises in my stroller, looking at my mom with eyes that said, “Faster, please!” Since then, I’ve been chasing my dream — studying and working in industries dedicated to building anything that moves.

This journey took me to the “North of the North,” where, thanks to a good friend, I discovered a whole new world atop my loyal XSR700. From that moment, a new kind of adrenaline took over me and gave rise to my two alter egos: one, a rational, peaceful engineer and nature lover; the other, a thrill-seeker fueled by gasoline, living for the roar of engines and the smell of burning rubber.

Since returning to sunny Valencia, my mission has been clear: to meet new people, share epic adventures, and conquer winding roads together while burning fuel and creating memories. Join us — at your own risk — and have fun.

Emanuel Buzey

Coordination.

Developer and motor enthusiast.

I was born in Rosario, Argentina, and from a young age I learned that what truly matters is to keep moving forward, even when the road isn’t entirely clear. That idea has been a constant in my life, both personally and professionally.

Motorcycles have always held a special place for me. I fondly remember my Econo Power — that first taste of freedom on two wheels. I also experienced the rougher side of the asphalt, with a fall on a Honda M100 that left me with more lessons than scars, and a renewed respect for everything that riding entails.

Today, I’m part of this project with the same drive to keep creating, sharing, and building new experiences.

Because in the end, that’s what it’s all about: connecting with what moves us — whether it’s a motorcycle, an idea, or a great group of people to share the journey with.

Carmen

Carmen Boluda

Organization.

My name is Carmen, and I’m passionate about speed and two wheels. At 20 years old, I got my motorcycle license and enjoyed riding several bikes.

Life’s paths took me away from that world for a few years, but in 2015 my husband, Nelson, bought a motorcycle, and we got back to enjoying what we love most — going out on rides, taking curves, feeling the wind on our faces, the freedom and adrenaline of speed, and that thrill every time you cross paths with other riders and greet them with a “V” (even though now I do it from the passenger seat).

Last year, I had the great opportunity to take part in the first Mountain Rally, helping at the checkpoints so that the true protagonists — the riders — could enjoy this wonderful experience without any setbacks. But honestly, I enjoyed it just as much, if not more, than they did, so there’s no doubt I’ll keep collaborating.

Full throttle!

Victor

Victor Garrido

Organizer of The Mountain Rally.

Born in Alborache, a small village in the inland region of Valencia, my life has always been connected to the authenticity of simplicity and a passion for the things that truly matter.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various sectors — from mechanical turner to sales in the automotive industry, and even in the textile world, collaborating with fabric and fashion brands.

However, over time, I decided to follow my own path, guided by what truly holds value for me. Inspired by my childhood memories and the freedom I felt riding a Bultaco Frontera MK11, I discovered what makes me truly happy: creating unique experiences that bring together motorcycles, gastronomy, music, and fashion in one place.

That’s how Café 55 was born — a project that reflects not only my love for adventure and design, but also my roots, my entrepreneurial spirit, and my desire to share an alternative lifestyle that inspires others.

Lore

Lorena Terrado

Coordination.

My name is Lorena and I'm from Sagunto.

I only recently entered the world of motorcycles, but I was captivated from the very first moment.

I've always been passionate about sports and thrills, and on motorcycles I've discovered a new way to experience adrenaline and freedom.

Before I only ran with sneakers, now I also enjoy every kilometer on two wheels.

Participating in The Mountain Rally from the checkpoints allows me to be part of this great adventure from the inside, sharing energy and passion with everyone who makes this event possible.

Nuria

Nuria Fernandez

Organization.

Although I don't come from the world of motorcycles nor do I own one, my connection with motorcycling has always been there, almost inevitably.

I grew up in Cheste, a town defined by the roar of engines and an undisputed MotoGP hub, where the atmosphere of the major races permeates the streets and is part of the collective identity. From a young age, I've experienced both major international events and local motorcycle rallies and gatherings firsthand.

In addition, I have had the opportunity to experience the motorcycle in a completely different environment: the desert. Riding on the sand, with an infinite horizon and absolute silence, allowed me to understand the motorcycle from a more primitive and epic point of view, where speed doesn't matter but rather the connection with the terrain, the resistance and the adventure.

It was there that I understood that motorcycling is also a form of inner journey, of self-improvement and of respect for the road.

Thanks to my friendship with the organizers of this rally and my direct involvement in the organization of the event, I am discovering motorcycling from the inside.

Each step of the process brings me closer to this world, allowing me not only to understand it, but to feel and appreciate it as those who experience it on two wheels do.
